I dont want to be a baby mama, how do I move on from him?

12

I made up my mind to move on from ken. I met ken eight years ago. He was my MD at the time and I was serving as a youth Corper in the Company. He took interest in and we dated throughout my service year. I knew Ken was married but as a Corper then,I was just happy to have a guy take care of me. I was not looking for anything serious. My plan was to get rid of him after service year.

Somehow,we were very strong and in love with each other. Ken got me an apartment in one of the choice areas in Abuja. He placed me on a monthly income of one million naira. I couldnt have resisted.

As God would have it,I got pregnant the month of my passing out. Ken made me keep the pregnancy. He had promised to divorce his wife as he was no longer i love with her. He begged me to give him a year to sort things out.

I believed him and stayed. Our son came in 2014. Ken has been a very adorable father, lover and provider. But this is 2017 wrapping up and he is still with his wife.

I know I may be seen as a homewrecker and I have told Ken that I want out. If after almost four years,he is still with his wife, then I need to move on.

The only problem is that ken has blatantly refused to allow me go. He says the will take my son if I leave. He keeps telling me to be patient that he will divorce his wife eventually but I am tired of waiting.

My younger sister got married last year and is very proud to show the world her husband. I cannot show off Ken as he is not mine yet. My parents feel I am still young ,too young to be a mistress. They want me to be married,so they have asked me to move on.

I met someone who is interested in me. He is a young man of 32,just two years older than myself. Ken got to find out and is threatening him to stay off. I am so upset with Ken. He is yet to fufill his promise of marrying me yet he wants to drive anyone who wants me.

This is unfair. what do I do. My mother wants me to inform Ken’s wife so that she will be aware that Ken has been cheating with me. She believes that Ken still loves his wife,,maybe bringing the wife into the picture will make Ken afraid and let me go. But I am also afraid of what Ken would do if we do that.Ken is a very powerful man in Abuja, even all over the country.

Please,no insults. I didnt plan to be in this situation. Moreover,I am looking for a way to right any wrong my actions may have caused. I just need guidance on the best way to get out of this mess.

  1. Hmm. I thank God you know you did wrong by dating a married man, and like u said, u are ready to right the wrong ur action has caused. In my opinion, what to do is this: Let Ken go! You don’t cheapen urself by waiting for a man to divorce his wife and marry you. Leave him and move on with ur life..i’m sure the monthly stipend of 1million naira monthly is making it hard for u to let go. If he insists on taking his son, then let him have his way. Face reality, find a man and build your own family. Good luck!

    • @NNEKACHUQZ, you stole the word out of my mouth. Aisha, you can still make something beautiful out of your life. I believe it. God bless you.

  2. well just give him sometime and let him know. Cause like you said he’s a strong man and can undo. But wait a minute, what prompt you like waiting for ken to out his wife and take you in. hmm sister, ken still love his wife. To me ken should disclose hidding of you and to let knows to his wife if he truly loves you too and to be the second wife. or else his just a jeopardizing you.

  3. Pls just go on with your life and leave his son. uhn for the right man will come that you both will leave a good happy family life. so just leave him and his family.

  4. Hello Aisha,

Just as I stated in my email to you,its imperative that you cut ties with Ken immediately. You may need to get a lawyer to help you. The only way Ken can take away your child is if the court can prove that you cannot provide for him. Please leave his wife alone. Dont cause the family more pain.

Move on with your life. God will give you your own.

    God Bless

  5. Good Afternoon Aisha.

Ken would not leave his wife for you. You are his side chick and I bet you are not the only side chick he has.

Its best you move on with your life, Do not tell his wife that will get him angry. I guess you have saved enough money you can move to another state or leave the country.
    Take care

  6. Very apt response @ DJHYDE!

Married Men who mess up with other ladies telling them they will divorce their wives are liars!

They are probably telling same lies to other women

  7. He will never leave his wife. On a monthly allowance of one million naira you should have been able to save enough money to take you and your son out of this country. Don’t get his wife involved it will be messy. Just decide and move on.

  8. Dear Aisha,
pls, move on with your life. @JZHANE has said it all.
Emphatically, move on with your life and leave Ken alone.
    Thanks.
